- For Acorn's help file (version 1.00, I think), details of using FormEd, or a
- description of updates (by me) since 2.00, take a look at !FormEd.!Updates,
- except if you want to learn the changes the fun way.
-
-
- KNOWN BUGS, ETC.
- ----------------
-
- ** From the File Window (list of templates loaded), choosing 'Copy' (submenu
- from the first choice of the main menu) in theory DOESN'T WORK. In practice
- it seems to be fine.
-
- ** It hasn't caused me any problems yet, but I took down the WimpSlot FormEd
- uses from 288K to 192K. If you do get a problem, be aware of this.
-
- ** FormEd got a bit stroppy with me (& vice versa) when I tried to load in
- loads of big templates at once. I have fiddled with the 'Load Template'
- code since then, and it's OK with template files anywhere near a normal
- size.
-
- ** I'm not entirely convinced about what happens when indirected, sprite-only
- icons are saved off - ie Am I saving off exactly the right thing ? It seems
- to be OK - it could have just been my programming (in the program that was
- loading the templates in again).
-
-
- FUTURE VERSIONS
- ---------------
-
- ** I'm thinking of making icons exportable (across template definitions). It
- should be easier than copying entire templates anyway.
-
- ** Do you know how big your icons are ? Would you like to be told their
- dimensions as you re-size them ?
- Me too.
-
- ** If you're very silly, you might like to load a big template file into both
- of two copies of FormEd simultaneously. This is, of course, impossible,
- because FormEd calls Wimp_CreateWindow for each one, whether it's open or
- not. How's about a version where the ones which are closed are not actually
- created, but just remembered ?
-
-
- BY THE WAY
- ----------
-
- In about three months my link to the real world may cease - ie I will find my
- scheming accomplice (who uploads this to bulletin boards for me and generally
- helps with distribution) will be less readily accessible.
- Hence either
- (a) I'll make FormEd absoulutely PERFECT by then, or
- (b) I'll learn how to use bulletin boards myself. (What, do some work ??)
